   Sammanfattning : This thesis takes a look at how traditional log houses can be built with only the use of old measurements (by using its bodily counterparts such as thumbs, forearms and feet) combined with the two senses touch (by building with an axe) and sight for maintaining the structure and its parts plumb, level and also having correct or perpendicular angles. It is also tested how far the craftsman can take this method to make the structure wind proof, and therefore warm to live in, since that’s the highest form of precision in log house building.
