1. A Quantum Chemical Investigation of Chemical Vapour Deposition of Fe using Ferrocene and Plasma Electrons
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/KemiSammanfattning : Thin films provide a remarkable asset, as depositing a thin surface layer can completely alter a material’s characteristics and provide new, inexpensive, and valuable properties. In 2020, a new Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) approach was developed at Linköping University, using plasma electrons as reducing agents for the deposition of metallic thin films. LÄS MER
2. Ultra-Thin Ag Films on the Sn/Si(111)-√3×√3 Surface Studied by STM
Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The growth of atomically flat silver films on Si(111) usually requires a two-step growth, including deposition at low temperature (≈100 K) followed by slowly annealing to room temperature. In addition, flat silver films are usually only obtained on Si(111) for film thicknesses larger than the critical thickness of 6 monolayer. LÄS MER
3. Iron Oxide Thin Film Growth On Ag(100)
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/SynkrotronljusfysikSammanfattning : This thesis presents a study of iron oxide thin films, grown on a silver metal substrate, with the goal of characterizing the structures that form during growth of the first atomic layers. Such ultra-thin iron oxides are interesting model materials for fundamental surface chemistry and catalysis studies. LÄS MER
4. Computational Study of the Diffusion of Dehalogenated Molecules on a Ag(111) Surface
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska högskolanSammanfattning : In this diploma work the diffusion of dehalogenated organic molecules on a metal surface was studied. More specifically the benzene tri-radical (BTR) on Ag(111) surfaces has been computationally studied using density functional theory calculations. LÄS MER
5. X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy Study of Styrene Oxidation
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Silver has been proved as a heterogeneous catalyst for styrene epoxidation via detection of reaction fragments. After dosing styrene to the surface, reaction fragments were identified by comparing with literature values. The fragments were the oxametallacycle of styrene, carboxylic groups, benzene, and carbon residuals. LÄS MER
