    Sammanfattning : The recent discovery of the 31-km-wide Hiawatha impact crater has raised unanswered questions about its age, impactor and highly unusual organic carbon component. Previous research suggests a fractionated iron meteorite impactor, a probable maximum 3–2.4 Ma impact age and a possible Younger Dryas impact age. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : During the VEGA Expedition, in June 2013, reflectivity (backscatter) and depth data wasacquired with a multibeam echosounder from an approximately 140 km2 large area in MelvilleBay, off the coast of Western Greenland. One of the expedition objectives was to search for andmap evidences of a grounded ice sheet, which is likely to have reached the edge of the continentalshelf during the Last Glacial Maximum, about 20 000 years ago.
