   Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study is to categorize what philosophical thoughts about knowledge and learning that have affected the general curriculum and the syllabus for political science in the swedish educational system, from 1970 up to 2011. The study utilizes the theories of Tomas Englund regarding perennialism, essentialism, progressivism and reconstructivism and the theories of Geir Biesta about socialisation, qualification and subjectification.
