    Sammanfattning : The thesis is focused on UN-authorized multinational miltary operations and their involvement in armed conflict as a possible party to it. The aim of the research is to define the notion of "armed conflict" and "party to armed conflict" as well as to investigate under what circumstances  multinational military operations, including peace operations, may become party to an armed conflict, both de facto and de jure.
