16. Evaluation of 25 MHz Ultrasonic Testing for Detection of Non-Metallic Inclusions in Steel
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, KTH/MaterialvetenskapSammanfattning : Quantification of inclusions is important since it is correlated to the steel’s fatigue properties. One method that could be further developed for detection of inclusions in steel is ultrasonic testing (UST). LÄS MER
17. Non-Destructive Testing Of Concrete Bridges
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Byggkonstruktion och brandSammanfattning : Non-destructive testing is of great value in cases where a structure's future is investigated to find out what the best measure is. It is not always the best solution to demolish and build new. Many structures can be repaired and function several more years. LÄS MER
18. Evaluation of quantification methods for inclusion distribution in clean steel
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : Ovako products are in many cases used in high fatigue applications. Currently Ovako use ultrasonic evaluation at 10 MHz as a volumetric method for inclusion control. This study intends to investigate two new methods for quantification of micro inclusions. LÄS MER
19. Optical Fiber sensing of acoustic waves using overlapping FBGs
Master-uppsats, Mittuniversitetet/Institutionen för elektronikkonstruktionSammanfattning : The objective of this thesis was to investigate if an optical fiber sensing method with the use of two overlapping fiber Bragg gratings to measure Lamb wave $S_0$ modes in a steel plate, and how it would compare to traditional PZT transducers. A solution was proposed where the use of an optical fiber sensing system was built and took advantage of the strain dependence of a fiber Bragg grating mounted to a steel plate. LÄS MER
20. Production Process Development
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Industriell ProduktionSammanfattning : The master thesis is a collaboration between Trelleborg AB and the division of Production and Materials Engineering at Lund University, Faculty of Engineering. The objective of the thesis has been to analyse the current production system from a lean perspective, identify an area in need of improvement and generate concrete solutions for how the studied area can be improved in terms of cost, performance and from a lean perspective.
