  1. 11. Lipid oxidation in differently aged beef : use of static headspace gas chromatographic and 2-thiobarbituric acid reactive substance methods (TBARS)

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Nutrition and Management

    Författare :Jinzhu Wen; [2013]
    Nyckelord :lipid oxidation; beef ageing; TBARS; static headspace gas chromatography;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis assesses and compares lipid oxidation in beef samples from different ageing approaches by using static headspace gas chromatographic method and 2-thiobarbituric acid reactive substances. Beef samples were compared between three different ageing methods: hang ageing (traditional dry ageing); vacuum bag ageing (wet ageing); and tublin bag ageing and two ageing durations, 10 days or 21 days. 2. 12. Methyl salicylate production by the fungus Ophiostoma pluriannulatum isolated from Pine Weevil frass

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, KTH/Skolan för kemivetenskap (CHE)

    Författare :Emil Norin; [2011]
    Nyckelord :Ophiostoma pluriannulatum; Methyl salicylate; SPME; volatiles; antifeedant;

    Sammanfattning : One great issue of reforestation is the infestation of pest insects. The pine weevil (Hylobius abietis L.) is one of the economically most important pest insects in Europe and Asia. When insects feed on the trees the plants emit compounds that repel the insects. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Mechanism of zeolite activity in biogas co-digestion

    Master-uppsats, Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi

    Författare :Anna Hansson; [2011]
    Nyckelord :Anaerobic digestion; methane; zeolites; clinoptilolite; slaughterhouse waste;

    Sammanfattning : Biogas is a source of renewable energy and is produced at anaerobic conditions. The gas consists mainly of methane (55-70 %) and carbon dioxide (30-45 %). Biogas can be used as vehicle fuel after the gas has been upgraded to a methane content of approximately 97 %. There are several companies in Sweden producing biogas. LÄS MER
