1. Energy efficiency and fiscal incentives : A stochastic frontier analysis of Swedish manufacturing sectors 2008-2020
Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/NationalekonomiSammanfattning : This thesis is a case study of the Swedish manufacturing industry in which I measure how efficiently each sector uses energy (fuel and electricity) as input goods in their production processes, and how significant the impact of Sweden’s energy tax is in regard to energy efficiency. The purpose of this is to analyze energy security and preparedness for short-term demand shocks for electricity, as many ‘mega-investments’ of industrial nature are being planned in Sweden – which are predicted to require the installed capacity of Sweden’s electricity production to almost double by 2045. 2. Investigating the dynamics between the developing Nordic hydrogen market and the electricity system under uncertainty
Master-uppsats, KTH/EnergiteknikSammanfattning : The potential of hydrogen as a clean energy carrier is hotly debated, but it promises to significantly contribute to a sustainable energy future. Hydrogen can replace fossil fuels in carbon-intensive industries, heavy transport and aviation, and support a renewable energysystem by acting as energy storage to balance intermittent supply. 3. Swedish Offshore Wind : Modelling development pathways to commercial viability
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : Offshore wind will play an important role in Sweden’s fossil-free energy future. Although Sweden has many offshore wind farms in the planning and approval stages, few projects have been built, and little public research on which offshore wind areas and individual farms are most economically viable. 4. Something's in the Air: Exploring Wind Power Investment Incentives in Sweden
D-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för nationalekonomiSammanfattning : Swedish wind power generation levels have shifted materially over the last decade, nearly accounting for 20% of the total electricity supply by the end of 2021. Along with rapid infrastructure development, industry ownership structures have changed, and foreign equity in wind power is estimated to increase from 36% in 2016 to 66% in 2024. LÄS MER
5. Are renewable sources displacing fossil fuels in electricity generation? : A panel data investigation on global data
Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan Dalarna/NationalekonomiSammanfattning : As the consequences of climate change is increasing the need of replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy globally is becoming more urgent. A central question that has been questioned in the literature is that if the world is on track on a transition away from fossil fuels or if we are only adding renewable energy to the energy mix in a world that continues to grow and consume more energy.
