6. Characterisation of resistance in wheat to Fusarium Head Blight complex
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Mycology and Plant PathologySammanfattning : The plant pathobiome is described as a set of microorganisms that interact with each other and with the plant biotic environment to influence disease progress. Recent studies have led to the realisation that a disease in a plant is not always associated with single organisms rather is a result of complex interactions between various taxa, the host, and the environment. 7. Tritrophic interactions with Silphium integrifolium at the axis : elucidating the role of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal species on plant phenotype
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Protection BiologySammanfattning : A fundamental understanding of the intricate interactions between crops and their environment may help guide the development of ecologically intensified agriculture. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are root symbionts that can increase a plant’s access to soil resources and have been found to reprogram plant defensive mechanisms, potentially influencing the performance of plant antagonists. 8.
9. Multi-environment Screening of Timothy (Phleum pratense) Breeding Material for Better Forage Yield in Sweden.
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Breeding (from 130101)Sammanfattning : Timothy (Phleum pratense) is one of the most widely used forage crops in hay and pasture grass mixtures in Nordic countries; it’s also used in areas where it is one of the top forage crops harvested high yield, especially in boreal climates. There hasn’t been any large-scale breeding of Timothy to develop varieties that are adapted for Swedish climate and standards, which is surprising given that Timothy is the main forage crop used in Sweden. 10. Iterative full-genome phasing and imputation using neural networks
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Människans evolutionSammanfattning : In this project, a model based on a convolutional neural network have been developed with the aim of imputing missing genotype data. This model was based on an already existing autoencoder that was modified into a U-Net structure. The network was trained and used iteratively with the intention that the result would improve in each iteration. LÄS MER
