  1. 1. The Role of Technology Shifts in Urban Decarbonization Modelling : Scenario creation and implementation

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Energisystem

    Författare :Batiste Fourniols; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Urban area; Decarbonization policies; Scenario modeling; District heating; Gas distribution network; Geospatial resolution; Stadsområde; utfasning av fossila bränslen; scenariomodellering; fjärrvärme; gasdistributionsnät; geospatial upplösning;

    Sammanfattning : This work includes modelling of decarbonization scenarios at the scale of an urban area, providing policy insights and a methodology focusing on introducing district heating and maintaining the existing gas distribution network in a case study. With a focus on reducing gas consumption in the residential and tertiary sectors, the research integrates scenario developments giving a methodology to develop district heating, requiring a careful balance in selecting the optimal scale for city-wide analysis. 2. 2. UAV Navigation using Local Computational Resources : Keeping a target in sight

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Magnus Cardell; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Unmanned aerial vehicle; Path planning; On-board computation; Autonomy; Obemannade drönare; Vägplanering; Lokala beräkningar; Autonomi;

    Sammanfattning : When tracking a moving target, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) mustkeep the target within its sensory range while simultaneously remaining awareof its surroundings. However, small flight computers must have sufficientenvironmental knowledge and computational capabilities to provide real-timecontrol to function without a ground station connection. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Analysis of Arctic peak-season carbon flux estimations based on four MODIS vegetation products

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Antonin Kusbach; [2016]
    Nyckelord :satellite-derived data; vegetation indices; Arctic; net ecosystem exchange; big data analysis; Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Increased temperatures in high latitudes may alter the carbon dynamics throughout the Arctic. Modelled CO2 simulations show that current climate conditions constitute the Arctic a net carbon sink, though the large extent and fine landscape heterogeneity raise an uncertainty about the carbon sink/source status of the region.
