  1. 1. Architecture and CognitionArchitectural settings’ influence on cognitive performance in an isolated and confined environment, over time.

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Ergonomi

    Författare :Michail Magkos; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Cognitive; Ergonomics; Architecture; Working Memory; Space; Isolation;

    Sammanfattning : his thesis examines the relationship between architectural design in a space analog environment and cognitive performance. This is done through longitudinal, repeated measures, quantitative study which was conducted during a Mars analog mission, with cognitive assessments administered under different environmental conditions within the mission habitat. 2. 2. A computational model of metapopulation dynamics and organism-mediated nutrient flow

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Amanda Hansson; [2023-08-07]
    Nyckelord :computational model; population dynamics; metapopulation dynamics; nutrient flow; simulation; spatially explicit; individual-based;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this project was to assess, using in-silico experiments, how different life history char-acteristics, such as age at maturity and dispersal ability of individuals, influence the dynamics of a metapopulation. To achieve this, a novel model of a spatially explicit metapopulation, with organ-ism-mediated nutrient flow between fragmented habitat patches, was implemented by means of computer simulations. 3. 3. Evaluating the effects of climate change on Arctic char : including impacts of brown trout competition

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies

    Författare :Ola Carlström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :arctic char; brown trout; climate change; diet; habitat use; temperature;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change is predicted to increase the average global temperature with 1.5 °C between 2030 and 2052. The areas that are most vulnerable for climate change are the arctic regions. Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus) is a cold-water salmonid species with the most northern distribution of all freshwater fish species. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Inveterarens underbara resa genom Jämtland - ett test av träffsäkerheten i artutbredningsmodell för norna (Calypso bulbosa) med fokus på Jämtlands län

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildning

    Författare :Elina Larsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :artutbredningsmodell; SDM; norna; Calypso bulbosa; habitatdirektivet;

    Sammanfattning : As a member state of the European union, Sweden is obligated to report the status of the species and habitats protected under the Habitats Directive every sixth year. Calypso bulbosa is one such species. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Är det storleken som räknas? : Hur påverkar värdväxtens bladform och bladstorlek äggkläckningsfrekvensen hos ägg av violett guldvinge (Lycaena helle)?

    Kandidat-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

    Författare :Sigrid Sjösteen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Lycaena helle; Lycaenidae; habitat quality; Bistorta vivipara; ;

    Sammanfattning : The violet copper (Lycaena helle) is one of the most endangered butterflies in Europe, with a population pattern of steady decline despite consevation efforts. The main threat to the species is believed to be habitat fragmentation and loss due to changes in land use practices. LÄS MER
