6. A high-order harmonic pump-probe setup using annular-beam interferometers
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/AtomfysikSammanfattning : Demands are specified for an interferometer setup capable of supporting attosecond resolution pump-probe experiments, as well as molecular alignment experiments. A design for two interferometers fulfilling these demands is presented. LÄS MER
7. Photoemission electron microscopy of localized surface plasmons in silver nanostructures: Experiments and simulations
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/SynkrotronljusfysikSammanfattning : In this work, spatially resolved localized surface plasmons (LSPs) in individual silver nanocubes and nanoellipsoids are imaged with a photoemission electron microscope (PEEM). Using broadband laser pulses with photon energies below the work function threshold of the material, multiphoton photoemission (MPPE) processes coupled to the LSPs governs the strong enhancement of the plasmonic near-field detected in the PEEM. 8. Construction and Characterization of an Interferometer for the Stabilization of Attosecond Experiments
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : A new optical interferometer for delay stabilization in attosecond pump/probe experiments is constructed, featuring a custom-made hole-drilled recombination mirror and using a co-propagating HeNe laser for the interference. The interferometer is shown to generate an interference pattern of high enough contrast for delay stabilization. LÄS MER
9. Interferometer Design for Attosecond Experiments
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Resolving fast events, such as electron dynamics, requires short light pulses. To this date the shortest available light pulses are created using High-order Harmonic Generation (HHG) and have a duration of a few hundred attoseconds (1 as = $10^{-18}$ s). LÄS MER
