2. Techno-economic fesibility of a hybrid CSP (sCO2) - PV plant for hydrogen production
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : The global need to eliminate CO2 emissions and its consequent reduction in the use of fossil fuels drives the ongoing energy transition that highly involves the research achievements of the scientific community to reach the goals of this purpose. Renewable sources like photovoltaic and wind energy, are central to this endeavor, however, the intermittency of natural resources makes it non-dispatchable and energy storage is fundamental. LÄS MER
3. Comparing different methods of measuring particle size for pharmaceutical excipients
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)Sammanfattning : In pharmaceutical science, particle size is one of the most fundamental parameters of materials, but different particle-sizing analysis methods lack a uniform standard for measuring irregular particle size, making it difficult to compare the accuracy and applicability of different particle-sizing analysis methods. Experiments on excipients used in pharmaceuticals are carried out in this paper by laser diffraction analysis (Malvern wet and dry), dynamic image analysis (Qicpic), and microscopic methods (Qicpic, SEM, and light microscopy) to determine the applicability and limitations of each method, as well as to clarify their advantages and disadvantages. 4. Size detection limits of spICP-MS for analysis of nanoparticles in environmental media
Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Soil and EnvironmentSammanfattning : Nanoparticles (NP) are widely integrated in our everyday lives, such as consumer products, health, agriculture, food, etc. This has resulted in a growing concern for their possible harmful effect on human health and the environment and the demand for characterization. 5. Measuring volatile nicotine from electronic cigarettes
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Ergonomi och aerosolteknologiSammanfattning : This thesis is focused on electronic cigarettes and the formulations (also known as e-juices) associated with these. The reason is that there have been countless studies on the health effects and nicotine delivery of normal cigarettes, but not as much on electronic cigarettes. LÄS MER
