Sammanfattning: Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM ) posed certain health risks to pregnant women and infants. The aim of this review was to collect effective non-pharmacological measures for the treatment of GDM, to inform patients and nurses on the management of GDM, and to provide a health-promoting approach for women with GDM.Objective: To describe non-pharmacological interventions in women with gestational diabetes mellitus. Methods: Through searching "GDM" ,"non-pharmacological", "intervention" and other search terms, PubMed was systematically searched to obtain 11 qualitative or quantitative articles on non-pharmacological intervention related to gestational diabetes mellitus. Results: Intervention measures were divided into four categories :(1) education intervention, (2) exercise intervention, (3) diet intervention, and (4) exercise diet intervention. Most of these interventions have positive effects on blood glucose control in women with GDM, reduce the possibility of adverse pregnancy outcomes and improve the prognosis of women. Conclusions: Through non-pharmacological interventions, patients have increased knowledge of GDM and can manage it better by changing their lifestyle and having a lower risk of side effects than drug therapy. In addition, nurses can also guide and help patients improve the prognosis and health of pregnant women with GDM through effective non-pharmacological intervention.Key words: gestational diabetes mellitus, non-pharmacological interventions, health promotion.
