Sammanfattning: This treatise gives constructing principles, hardware ones as well as software ones, for an operator's console adapted to the process computer and DDC software package of the Division of Automatic Control. The console is implemented with a micro computer trademark TRANSINTRO with CPU INTEL 8008. The display unit consists of four registers: "node identity", "parameter identity", "data" and "entry". Furthermore there are four indicator lights: "FAULT", "ALARM", "alteration prohibited" and "out of limits". The keyboard unit is composed of four groups of pushbuttons: "action", "parameter", "numeric" and "sundries". Thanks to the micro computer the keyboard unit can be made very simple in the sheer hardware constructing. It can almost consist of only 32 pushbuttons. One of the main ideas, in programming the micro computer, is that a pressed pushbutton gives a marking in a queue. The micro computer then takes care of the stored information when there is time. The communication between the two computers has two fundamental ideas: 1. the large computer believes that the micro computer is a teletypewriter. This involves that the large computer can make use of already existing software. 2. the micro computer is head of the common communication line. This means that the large computer only sends messages on a direct call from the micro computer. The operator is able to display and change the values of the regulator parameters. Parameters can, however, be attached with alteration prohibition. If that's so, the light "alteration prohibited" will be lit. Some parameters have been attached with limits of reasonableness. A new parameter value is tested against these limits before it is approved. By means of the pushbuttons "node display" and "group display" the operator can get surveyable information written on teletype or lineprinter. Faults caused by the operator or alarms will be indicated with the lights "FAULT" and "ALARM" respectively.
