Sammanfattning: Teleoperation of cranes and other machinery poses several challenges compared to operating them on location. Among these challenges is latency between user inputs and the returned camera feed, which affects both performance in terms of completion time of tasks, as well as a negative user experience. The purpose of this study is to explore whether a graphical user interface can improve performance and/or user experience. This is done through a user study where two graphical user interfaces - one predictive and one informative - are compared against a bare bones version by implementing them in a gantry crane simulator and performing the same task with each interface at different latencies. The results did not show significant differences in either performance or user experience, and thus this study cannot conclude that either interface is effective at solving this issue.
