Sammanfattning: Background: With the continuous growth of the number of elderly people around the world, the number of people with Alzheimer's disease has increased simultaneously. In recent years, robots have been used in the care of patients with Alzheimer's disease in many countries. These robots can provide some support for Alzheimer's patients and communicate with them as well.Aim: The aim of the study is to examine caregivers' perceptions and experience of using robots in an attempt to aid persons living with AD and other dementia by consulting and sorting out the relevant literature.Method: This study is a descriptive literature review. Eleven scientific papers are obtained from CINAHL and PubMed databases, including 2 quantitative articles, 5 qualitative articles and 4 with mixed methods. Results: The results mainly describe the caregiver's cognition and experience of using robot to treat AD and other dementia patients from four aspects: the occasion of using robot assisted technology, the function and program of robot, perceived advantages and limitations. Conclusions: The positive effect of using robot is that it can help a large number of caregivers hold a positive attitude in the process of providing care. However, using robot also has some limitations, which makes some caregivers have a negative attitude towards using it.Keywords: Alzheimer Disease, Caregivers, Dementia, Robot
