Sammanfattning: The transport sector accounts for one third of Sweden's greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve the goals of Agenda 2030, as well as EU, national, regional, and local goals and contribute to an improved air quality and a better climate, a strategy is needed that shows Örnsköldsvik municipality which vehicles should be given priority to be replaced. While a theoretical full life cycle analysis is desirable Örnsköldsviks kommun, in practice, only have control over which vehicles are used and how. The focus was therefore on this, the tank-to-wheel phase of the CO2e lifecycle.  The objective of the work was to provide a fact-based analysis to steer decision-making including reduction of CO2e. In practice, three lists were developed that show which vehicles should be prioritized according to different parameters. The work began with data collection for all vehicles, machine equipment and trailers. Substantial data cleaning was undertaken to a) remove irrelevant machine equipment, vehicles and b) to correct data errors, for example fuelling assigned to the wrong vehicle.   The work continued with analysis of the difference in age and technical life and emissions from data for the vehicles that were relevant to the work. These data were then compiled into two lists showing which vehicle should be prioritized from an environmental perspective and which vehicle should be prioritized from a ‘vehicle maintenance’ perspective. Then, a third list was made as a compilation of the two previous lists so that the list has both an environmental perspective and a maintenance perspective. Ultimately, recommendations are made of which vehicles should be prioritised for replacement in order to achieve a reduction in CO2e emissions – the road to zero for Örnsköldsviks kommun’s traffic and park division.
