Cirkusdirektörens nya kostym - En antropologisk studie om hur cirkusens historia påverkar etableringen av cirkus på kulturskolor i Skåne

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Socialantropologi

Sammanfattning: The development of circus as a subject in the community school of music and art, “Kulturskolan”, is strongly influenced by the history and traditions of the circus. Historically, the circus has been a nomadic art form without established institutions, which poses challenges when integrating into Kulturskolan. Circus differs considerably from other subjects at the Kulturskola and it requires special resources and adaptations. Despite the challenges at Kulturskolan, the progress of developing circus classes for kids instills hope that more people will be able to experience circus, either as participants or spectators. By becoming accessible, the circus also creates an awareness and openness to the contemporary form of the art. To achieve this, it is essential for the circus to establish a broader presence in society and strive to reach its full potential, ultimately becoming an organic part of the arts and culture scene in Skåne.
