Sammanfattning: The purpose of this project was to explore the possibility of using a general microcontroller for measuring and controlling a DC/DC-converter. The method for this implementation was to study the DC/DC-converter PKB4111D, planning the prototype board and constructing the board. The task was then to program the processor such that proper functionality is achieved. At this point, measurements and testing proved the task to be successful. The implemented functionality consists of measuring input voltage, output voltage, the internal control signal VSB and the temperature of the circuit. In addition to these measurements, the output voltage is adjustable by ±20 %, and the circuit is able to be turned on and off using the microcontroller. Commands are issued to the microcontroller via the communication protocol PMBus.
