Det digitala skyltfönstret: En kvantitativ studie över socialtjänstens digitala bemötande

Sammanfattning: The aim of this study is to investigate the accessibility and possible correlation and variations on the social service websites where they describe social problems and municipalities' efforts in relation with this. I have investigated this with the help of a checklist based on quantitative issues. Through the checklist, I have collected data like a survey where I fill in the checklist based on the design of social services websites on 50 different municipalities. I have made a sample based on a kind of proxy variable for the socio-economic situation in the municipality. 25 of the municipalities have a higher socio-economic situation and 25 municipalities have a lower situation. The results of the study show that the websites are generally inaccessible to citizens and they are not produced on the basis of rights-based rhetoric. Financial assistance is produced in a more demand-oriented manner, while addiction and social psychiatry appear to be more help-oriented with less focus on requirements. The study shows deficiencies in the information available and prioritized on the websites. Eight municipalities lack information on social psychiatry completely and only one (1) municipality has information of food needed for the day. No municipality informs about loans of technical aids such as computer and printers for printing. Conclusions that could be drawn include, among other things, that the formal rights that exist under the socialtjänstlagen do not appear as rights in the social services digital display window. The social service largely rejects citizens who seek information about current efforts and support through their digital response.
