Olika professioner - samma uppdrag? : En kvalitativ studie om samverkan mellan skolkuratorer och lärare gällande det hälsofrämjande och förebyggande arbetet

Sammanfattning: The school has the responsibility not just to give pupils knowledge but also to promote theirhealth and social progress. While the whole school has a responsibility to work with health promotion to increase the pupils’ well-being and prevent potential problems, the school counselors have a special responsibility to put this work on the agenda and make sure that their perspective takes place in the daily teaching. But they can not do it on their own. The aim of this study is to investigate how school counselors and teachers describe the collaboration and cooperation around the work of health promotion and prevention. How do they view eachother’s responsibilities and skills and what do they think promote or hinders the collaboration? The study was based on a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews and in the analysis the theoretical concepts guiding, structure and consensus, focused on collaboration, was used. The results showed that good relations between teachers and school counselors, time and places to meet in their daily work, and understanding of eachother’s commissions promotes collaboration. On the other hand, what can hinder the collaboration is lack of time and resources, indistinct leadership and lack of consensus.
