Reologiska egenskaper för bitumen och asfaltbruk

Detta är en Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå från Lunds universitet/Trafik och väg

Sammanfattning: The Master Thesis was set to study the possibility to measure the rheological properties of bitumen-filler mastic with RVB (Rotational Viscometer type Brookfield) and DSR (Dy-namic Shear Rheometer). This was carried out with an initial study, with promising results, from the RVB. It is known that filler has a stiffening effect when mixed with bitumen (FAS Method 253-02) and this was also confirmed when running the RVB-tests. A major part of the study, with the DSR, came to be about developing a method. The method co-vers all from the specimen preparation to programming the Amplitude (strain) and Fre-quency sweep. As a part of a research project within Skanska, a number of tests regarding RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement) mixed into new asphalt concrete were conducted. This was achieved by testing both the bitumen and bitumen-filler mastics which were ex-tracted from the asphalt concrete. The Master Thesis concludes that measuring on bitu-men-filler mastics is possible with the RVB and DSR equipment, although further research is needed before these methods can be picked up and used on a “daily basis” by the as-phalt industry.
