Sammanfattning: Background: breast cancer is the malignant tumor with the highest incidence rate inwomen. The treatment of breast cancer is mainly surgical treatment, supplemented bychemical drugs, endocrine, radiation, biology, etc. Mastectomy is the most commonlyused surgical treatment, but the body image of patients will be changed aftermastectomy. In recent years, the incidence of breast cancer has become younger.Therefore, we want to explore the experience of young patients after mastectomy.Objective: to describe the experience of young women after breast cancer resectionDesign: descriptive literature reviewMethods: The key words in PubMed and EBSCO were used for literature search, andthe results were analyzed and discussed.Result: A total of ten articles were included in the review. The results of this studyincluded four themes: Physical feelings after mastectomy, Psychological changes aftermastectomy, Impact on life , Coping strategies. After mastectomy, young womenexperience some adverse effects that change their life status.Conclusion: Young women experience changes in body image and postoperative painafter a mastectomy. Psychologically, because of the loss of their breasts, they becomedepressed, fearful of death, and fearful of cancer metastasis or recurrence. Over thecourse of their lives, their relationships with their husbands and sexual experiencesdeteriorate, and some women's levels of social functioning also decline. But youngwomen have coping strategies. They solve problems by practicing religion and seekinghelp from others.Keywords: Breast cancer, Mastectomy, Young women
