Konceptframtagning av överfallslarm : Utveckling av överfallslarm med design i fokus

Sammanfattning: The report treats a bachelor’s degree final thesis within Product development and design at Jönköping University. This thesis is the final project work at the mechanical engineering program. The assignment was given by a small start-up company, Paratusgruppen. The thesis was being implemented by Budsaraporn Chantahan and Linn Fagerström. The project was to develop a discrete and accessible personal alarm. The purpose of this is to make a personal alarm that is a part of the user’s daily life. To get a better view of what the users would like as additional features apart from the alarm itself, a pilot study was executed. From this, the product specifications were made. After this, the creative part started. To begin with, the criteria were put aside in order to focus on the creative part as much as possible. The product specifications were then used as a guideline to evaluate the concepts to be selected. During the project, the electronic components were examined with the intention to make the alarm as effective as possible. The focus of the project has been on developing a personal alarm that is easy to use and accessible in the user’s daily life. The focus of the project has mainly been on the design part and what shape the personal alarm is going to take. The outcome of the project is a simple product that is easy for the users to apply in the daily life. It’s a discrete and subtle design with techniques that interacts with the user’s phone.
