    Sammanfattning : One of the major challenges hindering advancement of quantum computing is the sensitive nature of the physical systems used to build a quantum computer. One suggestion for improving reliability is a particular type of logic gates, based on Berry's geometric phase, showing improved robustness to external disturbance of the quantum system over the course of a calculation.     Sammanfattning : In this thesis we present solutions of spontaneous compactifications of D=11, N=1 supergravity on parallelizable manifolds S^1, S^3 and S^7. In Freund-Rubin compactifications one usually obtains AdS vacua in 4D, these solutions usually sets the fermionic VEV's to zero. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In the Λ-system, non-adiabatic holonomic quantum phases are used to construct holonomic quantum gates. An interesting approach would be to implement open path holonomies in the Λ-system. By dividing the loop into two curve segments with a unitary transformation between them, universality can be reached. LÄS MER
