  1. 1. CO-LOCATION OF WIND AND SOLAR POWER IN SOUTHERN SWEDEN

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Michail Iakovos Dragasis; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Hybrid renewable energy system; Profitability; Lithium-ion battery storage system;

    Sammanfattning : This paper examines the possibility of adding a photovoltaic(PV) power station to an already planned wind park in terms of profitability. At this time, southern Sweden’s grid is facing a number of challenges and is hurting economic development. Hybrid parks have showed to be able to tackle some of those challenges. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Unlocking the Potential of Solar-Hydro Hybrid Solutions: Feasibility and Economic Analysis

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Industriell elektroteknik och automation

    Författare :Måns Rosberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Hydropower; Solarpower; Hybrid power production; Solar-hydro hybrid power; Reservoir storage; Energy storage; Pumped hydro power; Floating PV; PV; Photovoltaics; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Hybrid solutions that combine multiple renewable energy sources, such as solar power and hydro power, are gaining popularity as a means of meeting the growing energy demands while minimising environmental impacts, but also as an opportunity of connecting solar power plants to the grid in areas where this might not be possible unless large investments are made. This master thesis aims to evaluate the feasibility and economic viability of integrating solar panels with an existing grid connection point at a hydro power plant, along with the introduction of an energy storage solution using a hydro power plant reservoir. Sammanfattning : This thesis explores the integration of hydrogen and battery energy storage systems as a means to enhance the management of wind and solar power in the pursuit of a greener grid. The objective of the study is to identify the potential benefits and challenges associated with hybrid energy storage systems (HESS) and their role in renewable energy integration. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Unlocking the Potential of Battery Energy Storage Systems in the Nordic Frequency Regulation Markets : A techno-economic analysis to evaluate long-term profitability

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Theodor Ingman; Henrik von Sivers; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : As the Swedish power system has increased its shares of production coming from intermittent renewables, the production coming from large rotational units as nuclear, and hydropower, has decreased. Thereby, the power system has become more sensitive to sudden changes between production and consumption of electricity, increasing the risk of disruptions in the electricity grid. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Solar industrial heating with a hybrid solar collectors’ configuration and thermal storage : Dynamic simulation and techno-economic analysis

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för företagande, innovation och hållbarhet
