  1. 1. Protoplast isolation and transformation in sweetpotato

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Bioteknik; Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (master)

    Författare :Jakob Steiner; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Protoplast; Sweetpotato; Isolation; Transformation; Regeneration; Callus; Propagation; In-vitro; Solanales; Celluase; Cell; Plant; Leaf; Petiole; Biotechnology; Biology and Life Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Med målet att utvärdera en mindre restriktiv teknik för genmodifiering i sötpotatis (Ipomoea batatas), både gällande ekonomiska begränsningar såväl som det tid och energi bemödande som ett sådant projekt oundvikligen påbrår, har vi arbetat flitigt med att etablera optimerade parameters för protoplast isolation och fortsättningsvis också utforskat lovande protokoll för transformation och regeneration av dessa protoplaster, för att slutligen framställa nya genotyper. Således har en extensiv litteraturundersökning av tidigare publicerade protokoll, varav explantor från sötpotatis men också relaterade arter inom Solanales ordningen har diskuterats, utfärdades varefter datan analyserades via diverse avancerade statistiska modeller. 2. 2. The use of tissue culture methods for producing resistant material of Aesculus hippocastanum : a literature study

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. Of Plant Breeding

    Författare :Johan Pettersson; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Aesculus hippocastanum; resistance; tissue culture; micropropagation; somatic embryogenesis; mikroförökning; somatisk embryogenes;

    Sammanfattning : The horse chestnut Aesculus hippocastanum is a European species of broadleaf trees classified as vulnerable. The species is subjected to many pathogens and pests threatening its survival. Resistance to some pathogens of horse chestnut has been investigated and tissue culture methods such as somatic embryogenesis have been successful. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Catch the dream Wave : Propagation of Cortical Slow Oscillation to the Striatum in anaesthetised mice

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Beräkningsbiologi, CB

    Författare :Tiago Ferreira; [2014]
    Nyckelord :Cortex; Striatum; anaesthesia; slow oscillation; spontaneous activity; ketamine; in vivo; up states; wavelet; MUA; high-gamma range; MSNs;

    Sammanfattning : Under anaesthesia or in deep sleep, different parts of the brain have a distinctive slow oscillatory activity, characterised by states of high membrane potential and intensive spiking activity, the Up-states; followed by hyperpolarisation and quiescence, the Down-states. This activity has been previously described in vitro and in vivo in the cortex and the striatum, across several species. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Three-Dimensional Quantitative Cerenkov Luminescence Imaging

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Atomfysik

    Författare :Anton Ajne; [2014]
    Nyckelord :Cerenkov; CLI; Optical imaging; Nuclear medicine; Biology and Life Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Cerenkov luminescence imaging (CLI) is an up-and-coming optical technique for in vivo imaging of beta-emitting radioisotopes. CLI relies on measurements of the Cerenkov radiation emitted when high-energy beta-particles travel through tissue. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Development of an on-chip model for cardiac arrhythmia and pacing

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Författare :Emelie Leht; [2013]
    Nyckelord :Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Cardiovascular diseases are accountable for almost 50 % of the mortality number in Europe which is why research on its causes is highly prioritised. For practical and ethical reasons, in vitro study models are of high importance to enable research on cardiac abnormal behaviours. LÄS MER
