  1. 16. Phosphorus reduction in wastewater using microalgae with different phosphorus starvation periods

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Fredrika Murby; [2021]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Anthropogenic induced nutrients in the Baltic Sea have led to 97% of it being eutrophic. Phosphorus is regarded the main regulating nutrient, and nearly 25% of the nutrients coming to the Baltic Sea originate from wastewater treatment plants. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Opportunities for increased nutrient recovery at centralised wastewater treatment plants through urine separation

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Hanna Gustavsson; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Nutrient recovery; urine separation; magnesium ammonium phospahte; MAP; ammonium sulphate; AMS; and DHI s WEST;

    Sammanfattning : Municipal wastewater contains a significant amount of nutrients such as phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N). Therefore have the interest of recovering these nutrients at wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) increased. Nutrient recovery would generate revenue for the WWTP, as it is possible to sell the products as fertiliser. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Identifying factors that correlate with Enhanced Biological Phosphorus Removal upsets at Lundåkraverket

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Rounak Niranjan; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Enhanced biological phosphorus removal; polyphosphate accumulating organisms; glycogen accumulating organisms; sludge content in aeration basin; nitrates in aeration basin; pH of incoming water; principal component analysis; pairwise correlations; inhibition factors;

    Sammanfattning : The Enhanced Biological Phosphorus Removal (EBPR) process is characterized as the most sustainable process to remove phosphorus from wastewater albeit with high variability in performance efficiency. Thus, unpredictable upsets in the EBPR system is the norm across several wastewater treatment plants throughout Sweden, forcing the hand of the operators to dose higher volume of chemicals to reach the effluent requirements. 4. 19. A study of pharmaceutical residues in wastewater from small municipalities in Northern Sweden : E-peroxone as a complementary tertiary removal technique

    Magister-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

    Författare :Mathias Hägglund; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Pharmaceuticals; removal; sewage treatment plants STPs ; Electro-peroxone E-peroxone ;

    Sammanfattning : The conventional treatment processes used in Swedish sewage treatment plants (STPs) are not designed to remove micropollutants such as pharmaceuticals and biocides. This leads to STPs being a major source of pharmaceuticals in the environment including surface waters, coastal waters, and groundwaters all over the world. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Analysis and optimization of a dissolved air flotation process for separation of suspended solids in wastewater

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Oskar Bäck; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Dissolved air flotation; Effluent recycle rate; Optimization; Recycle flow pressurization; Wastewater;

    Sammanfattning : Margretelund wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) operated by the water utility Roslagsvatten AB, wasbuilt in 1956 and is located in Åkersberga town, Stockholm County, Sweden. Margretelund WWTP waslast renovated in 1999, and has been operated with the same physical, chemical, and biological processessince then. LÄS MER
