  1. 1. Microbial production of chemical building blocks from lignin

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Teknisk mikrobiologi

    Författare :Kevin Bertilsson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Lignin; Green plastic; Vanillin; Microbial production; Applied microbiology; Biology and Life Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Plastics, derived from fossil fuels, have raised considerable environmental concerns. This has prompted the search for sustainable and safer plastic precursors alternatives. One alternative explored in the present study is vanillin, a phenolic compound derived from lignin, an abundant and renewable natural polymer. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Reprocessing and Characterization of Polybenzimidazole for High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Författare :Douglas Björkengren; [2023]
    Nyckelord :polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells; PEMFC; HTPEMFC; polymer technology; polymer characterization; reprocessing; recycling; polybenzimidazole; PBI; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : A reprocessing method of poly(2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole) (PBI) membranes recovered from the production line of High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFC) at Blue World Technologies (BWT) has been developed in order to reduce material loss in the production. Redissolution of scrap PBI membranes in poly(phosphoric acid) (PPA) and phosphoric acid (PA) was successful and the subsequent washing procedure produced PBI that could be redissolved in N,N-dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) and suitable for solution casting of new membranes. 3. 3. Effektivitet och säkerhet av palmitoyletanolamid (PEA) för behandling av smärta.

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för kemi och biomedicin (KOB)

    Författare :Petimat Sharipova; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Palmitoyletanolamid PEA ; endocannabinoider; lipidmediator; antiinflammatorisk; smärtlindrande; peroxisomproliferatoraktiverade receptor-alfa PPAR-α ; cannabinoidreceptorer; transient receptorpotential vanilloid receptor 1 TRPV1 ; kroniska inflammatoriska sjukdomar; artros; neuropatisk smärta.;

    Sammanfattning : Bakgrund: Palmitoyletanolamid (PEA) är endogen fettsyraamid som produceras naturligt i kroppen. PEA fungerar som en lipidmediator med liknande effekter som endocannabinoider och har olika positiva effekter på kroppen, såsom antiinflammatorisk, smärtlindrande, antikonvulsiv, immunmodulerande och neuroprotektiv verkan. 4. 4. Synthesis and analysis of potential metabolites of ADB-5´Br-BUTINACA

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Kemi

    Författare :Alaa Malekshahineia; [2023]
    Nyckelord :metabolites; NPS; synthetic cannabinoids;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, there has been a rise in the use of New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) that mimic the effects of controlled drugs and licensed medicines, which have become a significant public health concern globally. Synthetic cannabinoids, a rapidly expanding category of NPS, with much higher potency and binding affinity to the cannabinoid receptors than ∆9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), have led to serious psychiatric complications and other adverse effects. 5. 5. Evaluation of antimycobacterial molecules' capacity to kill mycobacteria and their toxic effect on human cells.

    Kandidat-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Institutionen för biomedicinsk vetenskap (BMV)

    Författare :Filippa Henriksson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Drug evaluation; In vitro; Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex; REMA; Tuberculosis; In vitro; Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex; REMA; tuberkulos; utvärdering av läkemedel;

    Sammanfattning : Tuberculosis is a fatal airborne disease caused by bacteria from the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC). The incidence of contracting tuberculosis is estimated to be around 10.6 million cases each year. Increased drug resistance among mycobacteria has led to the need to develop new treatments. LÄS MER
