2. The Neural Correlates of Sensory Processing Sensitivity : a Systematic Review
Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskapSammanfattning : Sensory processing sensitivity is an innate temperament trait characterized by deeper cognitive processing of stimuli, increased empathy and emotionality, ease of overstimulation, and heightened awareness of subtileties in the environment. This systematic review aims to review the literature that has investigated the neural correlates of sensory processing sensitivity. LÄS MER
3. Traumatic brain injury and its impact on working memory : A systematic review
Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskapSammanfattning : The purpose of this systematic review is to provide insight into the impact traumatic brain injury (TBI) has on the executive function known as the working memory. TBI is a damage to the brain that occurs when the brain is critically injured to the degree that it impacts several brain regions and functions such as the hippocampus, its surrounding areas, the prefrontal cortex, and the performance of the working memory ability. 4. Finding a Solution : Adapting Psychological Interventions to Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome
Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskapSammanfattning : Throughout my education I have found that the psychological interventions in use are largely tailored to the masses, and some may be ill suited for those from certain subpopulations such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Asperger's syndrome (AS). I investigated whether there are statistically significant neurological differences between those with high functioning ASD or Asperger's and those without, with the goal of using those differences to propose what aspects might be used to create new psychological interventions more suited to neurodivergent individuals. 5. Body patterning and cognition in cephalopods - a literature review
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Environment and HealthSammanfattning : Cephalopods are a valuable model for studying the evolution of cognition due to their distinctive brain structure, organisation, and connectivity patterns compared to vertebrates. The development of large brains and behavioural complexities are believed to be triggered by evolutionary pressures stemming from factors like heightened predation, more demanding foraging conditions, and intense mating competition.
