    Sammanfattning : A macellum in ancient Rome was a marketbuilding, distinct from the city´s loud noice and throng. These marketbuildings had distinct variations from the more common and wellknown fora venalia, such as Forum Holitorium, Forum Boarium and Forum Suarium.
