1. Photosynthesis response to temperatures – A study of fertilized and unfertilized Picea abies : Fotosyntes i respons till temperatur – En studie av gödslad och ogödslad Picea abies
Kandidat-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för skog och träteknik (SOT)Sammanfattning : The effect climate change has on forest trees is a large scaled topic. It is to believe that one of the largest threat to the environment today is global warming (IPPC, 2007). The use of fossil fuels seems to be the big threat with its greenhouse gas (GHG) emission and therefore forest is of interest. Forest contributes in several ways. LÄS MER
2. Relation between hydrogen production and photosynthesis in the green algae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildningSammanfattning : The modernized world is over-consuming low-cost energy sources that strongly contributes to pollution and environmental stress. As a consequence, the interest for environmentally friendly alternatives has increased immensely. LÄS MER
3. Wiring liposomes and chloroplasts to the grid with an electronic polymer.
Master-uppsats, Biomolekylär och Organisk Elektronik; Tekniska högskolanSammanfattning : We present a novel thylakoid based bio-solar cell capable of generating a photoelectric current of 0.7 µA/cm2. We have introduced an electro conductive polymer, PEDOT-S, to the thylakoid membrane. LÄS MER
4. Potassium channel AtTPK5 : An essential or redundant regulator of photosynthesis in Arabidopsis?
Master-uppsats, Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologiSammanfattning : It has previously been stated that K+-ions in a plant cell have a counter-balancing role in which the efflux of K+-ions from the thylakoid lumen charge-balance the light-induced proton pumping that is known to occur across the thylakoid membrane, and this in turn stabilizes photosynthetic activity. In the present study, two different types of plants of the same ecotype (Col-0) of Arabidopsis thaliana have been studied: a wild-type and a T-DNA exon-mutant (tpk5-e) that has lost the expression of the protein known as Tandem-pore K+- channel (AtTPK5). 5. Impact of Arbuscular Mycorrhiza symbiosis on photosynthesis in Medicago truncatula
Master-uppsats, Molekylär genetik; Tekniska högskolanSammanfattning : The Arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) symbiosis is a mutual association formed by plant roots and soil fungi. Most vascular flowering plants have the ability to form AM associations, which show significant impact on ecosystem function and plant health. This association is based on the mutual exchange of nutrients between plant and fungus. LÄS MER
