Sammanfattning: Newspapers are today adapted to mobile format and printed format. In this thesis in information design, it is examined whether there are differences in how a reader understands and remembers an article with graphics in a mobile format compared to a printed format.   The study first consists of a theoretical part and then a practical method part that consists of a user test. The theory part presents theories that are linked to images and the interaction of the text to each other. In the theory part, knowledge is gathered about how the multimodal in an information graphics can increase knowledge by consisting of text, image and diagrams in collaboration with each other, in order to increase knowledge and make a subject more informative. The user tests are there to see if there are differences in how the user understands and remembers an article in printed format compared to a mobile-adapted format.   The degree project resulted in the conclusion that in a printed format the reader remembers more from the graphics. The testpersons perceived the article in the mobile as more textual and repetitive. The understanding was quite equivalent, but the persons who read the printed format took more help from the graphics to understand the content of the article and studied it for a longer time.       A design proposal emerged through user tests, theories and previous research. The proposal contains the positive parts of the printed format and the positive parts of the mobile-adapted format that have been merged. The advantages of the two different formats were applied to the mobile-adapted format.
