Sammanfattning: This paper focuses on precarious work by temporary employed teachers. The main purpose of this study is to investigate if there is a connection between stress and the teacher’s employment contract, temporary verses permanent employment. The theoretical framework that is used in this study is Precarious lives by Arne L Kalleberg. Studies shows that anyone today can be affected by precarious work and stress, it’s a very heterogenic field. The method used in this study is quantitative secondary analysis of data from TALIS 2018. The result shows that it´s no difference between temporary and permanent employed upper secondary school teachers in Sweden when it comes to stress neither physical nor psychical negative effects on their health. This is followed by a discussion of the implications this may have for teaching and learning.
