Sammanfattning: Abstract The purpose of the study is to gain an in-depth understanding of how preschool teachers work with support in the curriculum to provide access to the environment and materials for creation to the youngest children in preschool. The purpose of the study is to gain an in-depth understanding of how preschool teachers work with support in the curriculum to provide access to the environment and materials for the youngest children in preschool. The study is based on a socio-cultural perspective developed by Vygotsky, but also takes a pragmatic perspective, for which Dewey was an advocate. These perspectives have been chosen because they support and give meaning to the purpose of study. Semi-structured qualitative interviews were conducted with five preschool teachers. The interviews had to be conducted through Zoom due to the pandemic that is going on in our society. The same questions were asked to all five preschool teachers. The results of the study show that the curriculum is always present in the preschool teachers' reasoning, even if they do not often name it. The results also showed that the environment is adapted to the youngest children in terms of accessibility and support in their development. The study showed that care and safe children were the most important thing for preschool teachers.
