Risker och konsekvenser med Li-jonbatteribränder i hemmiljö

Detta är en Master-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Brandteknik

Sammanfattning: Li-ion batteries are rechargeable batteries with a high energy density. The demand for this kind of products has gradually been rising in Sweden, which has increased the proportion of Li-ion batteries available in people’s homes. Due to the high energy density of the Li-ion batteries in combination with the toxic gases that can be emitted from them if ignited there is a risk that this kind of batteries might cause very serious hazards. This was analyzed in the report by comparing Li-ion battery fires with other fires, which were not affected by these kinds of batteries, in a home environment. The conclusion of the report was that the risks varied depending on which Li-ion product or comparative fire that was ignited and its possibility to spread to other flammable materials.
