Studie i porten (/Portar)

Sammanfattning: En öppning till ett annat rum. Delar upp ytor. Innanför – utanför. Framför – bakom. Palatset, scenen, hemmet, kojan, gömstället. Mitt arbete kretsar kring porten. Formen av en inramning, en inbjudan. Något att dölja, stänga in. När jag använder mig av ordet ”port” syftar jag på portiker, ingångar, entréer, ridåer, dörrar, gardiner, valv. Jag rör mig kring en arkitektonisk, scenografisk eller hemmets port men touchar ibland också porten som metafor för något själsligt eller kroppsligt. Mitt arbete bygger på min egen process, studie och uppfattning om porten och jag kommer inte gå igenom portar, dörrar, ingångars olika symbolik. Mitt arbete om porten handlar snarare om representationer och abstraktioner. En undersökning i gestaltandet. STUDIE I PORTEN är ett rumsligt bildbyggande där textil metervara är övergripande medium. En frontal komposition som bjuder in – i bilden, där jag med sparsamt bearbetade material utforskar porten som form, dess dubbelhet och motsatser. Studien berör den fysiska porten vi rör oss igenom, mot metaforen och landar i min uppfattning om den. Det är en pågående studie om textil och stöd med portens representation genom dem. An opening to another room. Between spaces. Inside - outside. In front or behind. The palace, the stage, the home, the hut and the hiding place. My work revolves around the gate. The shape, a frame around something, an invitation. Something to hide, close. When I use the word "gate" I mean portico, entrances, openings, curtains, doors, portals. I move around an architectural, scenographic gate or the gate inside the home. Sometimes as a metaphor for something spiritual or physical. My work is based on my own process, study and conception of the gate and I will not go through gates, doors, entrances different meaning of symbolism. My work about the gate is rather about representations and abstractions. My work revolves around a spatial image building where the multitude of textile is the overall medium. A frontal composition that invites - in the picture, where I with barely processed materials explore the gate as its form, its duality and opposites. The study touches the physical gate we go through, towards the metaphor and lands in my view of it. It’s an ongoing study in textile and support devices with the gate’s representation through them.
