Multiprofessionellt teamarbete under covid-19-pandemin. En kvalitativ studie om samarbete och interaktion

Detta är en Master-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Socialhögskolan

Sammanfattning: In 2020, Covid-19 was declared a global pandemic, which’s effects caused a crisis for society, individuals as well as the multiprofessional teams in Swedish healthcare. The aim of this thesis was therefore to explore the experience of healthcare social workers, doctors, and nurses in multiprofessional teams during the covid-19-pandemic and how this crisis has affected their collaboration. The study is based on qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews with nine professionals from the field. The empirical material was analysed by using analytical tools from Blumer's social interactionism and Goffman's dramaturgical role theory. The main conclusion of this study showed that professionals in multi-professional teams seemed to shape their collaboration to the changes in team constellations as well as the setting of the isolated patient rooms, including the use of protective equipment where the social interaction and roles in the teams were based on a shared understanding, communication, help over professional jurisdiction and the need of several professionals’ perspectives. Furthermore, the study shows that the multiprofessional teams found arenas to debrief and share their experiences. Overall, the result of the study showed that, despite the challenges faced, the team-feeling and collaboration were strengthened by the crisis, where the professionals felt united in the state of emergency caused by the pandemic.
