Behovsanpassning av lägenheter om högst 35 m²

Detta är en M1-uppsats från Högskolan i Jönköping/JTH, Byggnadsteknik och belysningsvetenskap

Sammanfattning: Purpose: Every year over a million people moves within Sweden, studies show that the main reason is that the residence no longer can satisfy the needs of the household. A challenge when designing a multi-family building is to accommodate for a wide variety of needs that are constantly changing over time, which is a current issue when dealing with sustainable buildings. The aim of the report is to investigate how apartments no larger than 35 m² can be adapted according to the needs of a household.  Method: The methods chosen are of qualitative form and contains a literature study, unstructured interviews and a design process.   Findings: An accommodation that are adapted according to needs imply that the use, accessibility, flexibility and efficiency of all functions must be considered for the accommodation to be adaptable according to the current needs of a household. This is important to keep in mind when planning smaller residencies, as all functions and all the needs must be accommodated for in a very limited space. The implementation of a flexible floor plan can contribute and make it easier to adapt a dwelling according to the needs of different households.   Implications: The conclusion of this work is that a dwelling can be adapted according to needs with the help of a flexible floor plan. This is possible by using different approaches and guidelines that the authors themselves followed and developed. Examples of these approaches are to identify the types of households that may be living in the residence, identify the needs of those households (regarding workspaces, sleeping places, social areas etc.) and to identify which activities that might be carried out simultaneously in the residence. Something that should also be kept in mind is to design the apartments so that the residents can easily choose for themselves where the functions are to be placed, for example giving them the freedom to plan where to put inner walls that easily can be taken down or built up.  Limitations: The floor plans that the authors have produced are adapted to the conditions and project that were given by the collaboration company, however the ways of thinking and the principles used are generalisable and can be applied when designing other projects. A limitation made in the report is that no economic factors have been considered. If there were a budget to reference the floor plans that were produced might have been more realistic in regards of production.   Keywords: Adaptability, flexibility, small households, needs, lifestyle, multi-family building
