”Vi är ett lag, vi gör det här tillsammans” : En kvalitativ studie om hur professionella upplever arbetet i en missbruksenhet inom socialtjänsten

Sammanfattning: Title: “We are a team, we do this together” Subtitle: A qualitative study of how professionals experience the work in a addiction unit withinthe social services. The author: Sofia Kapple and My Holm. The purpose of our study is to investigate how at different levels in a social administration inthe field of addiction in Sweden experience the cooperation between and within the variousprofessions. We will also examine how the professionals are affected by the structure of thebusiness. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach consisting of five semistructured interviews with different professions in the business. The collected data has beenanalyzed with the help of a content analysis and based on the theoretical perspectives power,capacity of action and motivation it has generated in two main themes 1) Consensus within thebusiness is important and 2) The structure within the business is important. The results of thestudy showed that the collaboration worked well and that the professionals worked as a team tocreate and maintain a well-functioning business. It emerged that the municipality's smallergeographical size had a strengthening effect on cooperation and their capacity for action, ascloseness created opportunities for shared knowledge between colleagues. The structure of thebusiness had been reorganized, which directly affected the business, the reorganizationcontributed to new compositions of units and professional roles. The results showed that therewere both internal and external factors that affected the professionals. The internal factors werecooperation, communication and motivation and the external ones were leadership andstructure. The conclusion is that these factors are of crucial importance for how the respondentsexperience their capacity for action and cooperation.
