Sammanfattning: Introduction - The game development industry has become a lucrative export for Swedish trade, and currently accounts for about 4% of the total service exports in Sweden. This multi-billion industry is relatively new and is characterized by a highly educated workforce. To maintain a stable development of the industry, it may be important to protect existing human capital and social sustainability. A prerequisite for social sustainability is proactive work against discrimination and equal treatment between men and women in the workforce. Therefore, this report examines whether there is an unjustified wage gap between men and women working in the game development industry in Sweden. Method - Individuals having different salaries in the same workplace may be due to many different reasons. To investigate which factors are weighed in salary setting, a multiple regression model is adapted. The model includes factors such as gender, age, education level, relevant work experience, employment rate, and the work area in which the respondent is employed. When the regression model takes into account the various independent variables, they are tested against the dependent variable "salary" to establish which correlations can be made. Results - The empirical data indicates that salary has a relatively high variation, mainly among women working in the game development industry. Aside from other independent variables, women, according to collected empirical data, earn on average 7784 SEK more than men, gross per month, within the game development industry in Sweden.
