Sammanfattning: This study focuses on how an e-commerce web application can be designed in terms ofsymbols, amount of information and placement of content to be perceived to have goodusability regarding navigability. In this context, navigability is defined by how easy it is tofind information on the web application. To research this, the process was initiated with afeasibility study, which included the development of a marketing plan and the collectionof data by the usage of a survey. Thereafter, an iterative development process was carriedout where user tests were utilised to determine which technical developments that were tobe implemented. The results showed that usability with regards to navigability on a webapplication is affected by the amount of information, the symbols used, and the placementof the content.
