Nyckelord: Fiskmarknad; saluhall; Skeppsbron;

Sammanfattning: In the development of the project ROUGH, a fishmarket on Skeppsbron, the following pair of words have been central: “Out- and Through views”, “Massive and Light” and “Clashes and Meetings”. Out- and Through views has affected the location of the building. Even if the words also refer to the basic concept of the project: to give the visitor a “Out and Through” view on fish trade, fish processing and fish consumption. The structural engineering is based on the contrast between “Massive and Light”. The facilities that need more closed spaces, like the cold stores, the office and the technical areas are situated in massive concrete blocks, while the social areas for commerce, consumption and information are located in the open space with glas walls and high ceilings. The flow diagram of fish and the flow diagram of visitors are on purpose planed to clash on several places. The reason is to give the visitor the rough feeling of a fishmarket.
