Strävar ni mot en jämn könsfördelning? "Absolut" : En kvalitativ studie om jämställdhet inom IT och media

Sammanfattning: Gender equality work has been relevant for a long period of time. In Sweden, the government has a very clear budget set aside to encourage a gender equal society where women and men have the same rights and opportunities for instance in working life and wage. IT and media are two industries that differ in education as well as in working life and this study is investigating how gender equality looks in these two industries. The study has been executed with qualitative interviews and then analyzed with a thematic analysis. Based on the results from the interviews we can see that all businesses who has been interviewed are aware of the topic and are claiming that they are working for a more equal gender distribution and a more gender equal workplace. How the businesses work for this differ and we have during this study been given a lot of good examples that can be implemented by other businesses and industries in the future, to promote a more equal distribution in gender and more gender equal workplaces.
