"Heterokillar:våga testa att ta den i röven!" - En kvalitativ analys av sexuell normalitet på Ligga med P3s hemsida

[Translated title] Supervisor: Annika Capelán Assessor: Eva Johnsson The aim of this study was to provide a closer look at how sexual normality is portrayed on the internet, focusing on a particular website chosen for its aspiration to provide an open dialogue about sex and sexuality. Ligga med P3 is a Swedish radio show discussing sex-related topics four nights a week and also provides an extensive website with for example information and discussions regarding different aspects of sexuality. We analysed the content on this website to see how its information was affected in regards to normality and where the line between normal and abnormal was drawn, as well as how aware the site appeared to be concerning these norms and how they dealt with them. We chose to focus on the news feed posted on the website as we felt it gave us a clear picture of what the website wanted to highlight. We collected the content posted on the news feed for a period of 1 year. We then analysed the material to surmise which sexual behaviors were discussed, and in what way, and how this related to normality and norms. We found that the website provides a varied picture of numerous different sexual behaviours and aspects, though it is clear they are still restricted and influenced by norms in certain ways regarding to how much and in which ways these behaviors and aspects are described. We also found that the website seems to be very aware of some of these norms and actively works to change several of them. Key words: Normality, norms, sexuality, internet
