  1. 1. Asymptotic Symmetries and Dressed States in QED and QCD

    Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Fysikum

    Författare :Saimeng Zhou; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Dressed states; Large gauge transformation; Faddeev-Kulish formalism; Generalized coherent state operator; Wilson line; Infrared divergence; Asymptotic Hamiltonian; QED; QCD;

    Sammanfattning : Infrared divergences arising in theories with massless gauge bosons have been shown to cancel in scattering amplitudes when using dressed states constructed from the Faddeev- Kulish approach to the asymptotic states. It has been established that these states are closely related to asymptotic symmetries of the theory, that is, non-vanishing gauge trans- formations at the asymptotic boundary. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Lasers and masers have numerous uses in today’s society. Improving our understanding of the underlying physics and its application is thus of great importance. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Non-linearstates in parallel Blasius boundary layer

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Numerisk analys, NA

    Författare :Muhammed Abdullah Al Ahad; [2014]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : There is large theoretical, experimental and numerical interest in studying boundary layers, which develop around any body moving through a fluid. The simplest of these boundary layers lead to the theoretical abstraction of a so-called Blasius boundary layer, which can be derived under the assumption of a flat plate and zero external pressure gradient.
