1. Exploring electroweak symmetry breaking in the scale-invariant Two-Higgs-Doublet Model
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : This thesis investigates the properties of a general scale-invariant Two-Higgs-Doublet Model and its phenomenological consequences with focus on the scalar sector. The concept suggests that introducing more CP-violation, both spontaneous and explicit, may make it possible to meet the Sakharov conditions and account for the Universe's baryon asymmetry. LÄS MER
2. Strongly First Order Phase Transitions and The Possibility of Electroweak Baryogenesis in General Two-Higgs-Doublet Models
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : The possibility to have a strongly first order electroweak phase transition, which is one of the Sakharov conditions for electroweak baryogenesis together with $\mathcal{CP}$ violation and baryon number violation, in general Two-Higgs-Doublet Models (2HDMs) is here investigated. Different kinds of $\mathbb{Z}_{2}$ breaking beyond standard assumptions are studied, in particular by allowing it to be completely broken as well as by assuming it to be only approximately preserved in the Yukawa sector. 3. Electroweak phase transitions in the two-Higgs-doublet model after the first LHC run
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/HögenergifysikSammanfattning : One of the main motivations to consider beyond standard model physics is the observed matter-antimatter asymmetry of our universe, since it cannot be explained by the standard model. In this thesis we study the two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM) in order to test if there are regions of the parameter space of this model which are not yet excluded by experiment and which can explain the asymmetry by the process of electroweak baryogenesis.
