  1. 1. Buildings in the Digital Era : An Explorative Study of Digital Twins in the Built Environment

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Industriell ekonomi och organisation (Inst.)

    Författare :Siw Kristine Kästel; Joanna Wallén; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Digital Twin DT ; Arcitecture; Engineering and Construction AEC industry; Digitization; Building Information Modeling BIM ; Facility Management FM ; Operation Management O M ; Digital Tvilling; Fastighetsbranschen; Fastighetsförvaltning; Byggnadsinformationsmodeller BIM ;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, digital twins (DT) have gained traction in enhancing operation and maintenance procedures across various industrial sectors, such as manufacturing, energy, and aerospace. Yet their utilization remains more limited in the built environment. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The Role of Technology Shifts in Urban Decarbonization Modelling : Scenario creation and implementation

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Energisystem

    Författare :Batiste Fourniols; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Urban area; Decarbonization policies; Scenario modeling; District heating; Gas distribution network; Geospatial resolution; Stadsområde; utfasning av fossila bränslen; scenariomodellering; fjärrvärme; gasdistributionsnät; geospatial upplösning;

    Sammanfattning : This work includes modelling of decarbonization scenarios at the scale of an urban area, providing policy insights and a methodology focusing on introducing district heating and maintaining the existing gas distribution network in a case study. With a focus on reducing gas consumption in the residential and tertiary sectors, the research integrates scenario developments giving a methodology to develop district heating, requiring a careful balance in selecting the optimal scale for city-wide analysis. 3. 3. Energy efficiency and fiscal incentives : A stochastic frontier analysis of Swedish manufacturing sectors 2008-2020

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Nationalekonomi

    Författare :William Blombäck; [2024]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is a case study of the Swedish manufacturing industry in which I measure how efficiently each sector uses energy (fuel and electricity) as input goods in their production processes, and how significant the impact of Sweden’s energy tax is in regard to energy efficiency. The purpose of this is to analyze energy security and preparedness for short-term demand shocks for electricity, as many ‘mega-investments’ of industrial nature are being planned in Sweden – which are predicted to require the installed capacity of Sweden’s electricity production to almost double by 2045. 4. 4. Kinesiska investeringar, en säkerhetsrisk? Svenska föreställningar kring kinesiska investeringar i teknik och infrastruktur

    Kandidat-uppsats, Försvarshögskolan

    Författare :Elisa Sterner Jonsson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to contribute a nuanced understanding of Swedish perceptions regarding Chinese investments, particularly in technology and infrastructure. Despite the shift in perceptions from economic opportunities to security risks since 2017, there remains a gap in understanding the multifaceted nature of these perceptions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Prospects for standardisation of industrial PET plastics to support the transition towards a circular economy

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Miljö- och energisystem

    Författare :Agnes Ström; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Standard; standardisation; industrial PET; polyethylene terephthalate; circular economy; plastic; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Plastkonsumtionen har ökat markant över tid och har utvecklats till ett viktigt material i dagens samhälle, men med utmaningen att råvaran främst kommer från fossila källor. Användningen av plast är i linje med den linjära ekonomin och den så kallade slit-och-släng-kulturen, vilket bidrar till felaktig hantering av plastavfall och en ineffektiv användning av resurser.
