21. Electrochemical oxidation of PFAS in soil conditions : Using Boron-doped diamond electrodes and iron electrodes
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurserSammanfattning : Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a rising topic in the field of contaminated sites around the world, with destruction of these being an area in dire need of innovation. Previous experiments of destructive character have been proven efficient using boron doped diamond electrodes (BDD) in small scale electrochemical cells. LÄS MER
22. Trace element leaching from alum shale fines and red ash from Kvarntorp during a large column test
Kandidat-uppsats, Örebro universitet/Institutionen för naturvetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Fuel shortage during the Second World War led to oil production in Kvarntorp, Kumla during 1942-1966 by pyrolyzing alum shale rich in pyrite, FeS2, and organic material such as kerogen. This production has led to a lot of waste laying deposited out in the open after the mining closed and has had negative environmental impact in the form of ongoing weathering and leaching of acidic water and leaching of trace elements into its surroundings. 23. A case study of estimating Algal biomass productivity from wastewater treatment facilities in the state of Texas and possible use
24. Integrating horticultural and arable crops : a sustainable way to increase vegetable production in Scania?
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)Sammanfattning : Modern arable production is associated with a highly homogenous landscape with few cultivated species and is relying heavily on external chemical inputs. Intensive vegetable production, on the other hand, is associated with environmental costs such as increased risk of nutrient leaching and loss of soil organic matter. LÄS MER
25. The role of bed sediments for fractionation of phosphorus in remediated ditches in Sweden
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, SLU/Dept. of Soil and EnvironmentSammanfattning : Sweden’s environmental quality objectives “A varied agricultural landscape” and “Zero eutrophication”, aims to ensure food production while reducing negative impact from fertilizers on the environment. The input ceilings of nutrient concentrations in the Baltic Sea are still critical. LÄS MER
